Yay, today was a workout!  It was weird to start and have a break right away, even if I did Turbo Jam.  Today’s workout also flew by, I kept the remote closer to pause while recording results, and will probably print myself a chart to record on and share it here.  Click here for ChaLEAN Extreme workout sheets by Beachbody.  It did help having Monday’s notes to see how my biceps faired or my triceps.  Below was my workout:

I did not get much sleep last night because I was working — 3 hours — but I am still pleased by the workout.  I worry about my form, so I may have to get a $10 wall mirror from Target.  During Dead Lift Row and Forward-Lean Lunge my back was screaming, though I was pretty sure I had it bent inward and not arched upwards.  Towards the end of my workout my hands were having trouble gripping the adjustable weights…either forearm fatigue or the sweat, probably the combination of both!

I tried Shakeology Greenberry this morning… Ewwwwww!   I did not like it!  I mixed 3/4c Soy Milk with 3/4c water and the powder… it had this strange taste at the end of it that was kind of bitter and the texture was a little grimy (could be the lack of blender).  I ended up slicing up half a banana and adding 1/2 cup more  soy milk and giving a nice thorough mixing.  I would have added honey, but it was expired (and I’ve been told now that honey doesn’t expire but I still don’t trust anything in that house that’s expired!).  I still drank it, and will drink my other two samples and experiment with online recipes…but I’ll be ordering the chocolate home direct deliveries.  My coach said some people actually enjoy the Greenberry and hate chocolate… to each their own!

For lunch I had a 6″ tuna Subway sandwich with swiss cheese on honey oat bread.. added spinach, tomatoes, pickles, cucumbers and oil/vinegar.  So far that puts my day so far at 788 out of 1536 calories.

For dinner I had top sirloin with mushrooms, broccoli and steamed veggies and part of a cheesecake I shared with Chris in celebration of his home purchase :)  That’s another 500 so calories meal, so I would say I stayed on target.  I am trying to skip the carbs sides on a big dinner like that as a quick cut for calories .
