Day 6 – BURN: Burn It Off! & Recharge

I just finished my Day 6 exercises which wraps up Week 1 for ChaLEAN Extreme! Tomorrow is my rest day, but I will be doing Turbo Jam’s Cardio Party. Today I did Burn It Off! which is not an understatement… definitely a fast pace cardio workout that gets your heart pumping! In 22 minutes I burned a total of 357 calories with my average heartrate around 160, highest recorded was during Football Drills — I hit 179! My niece (her parents are out of town) was watching some of it and said it didn’t look that hard on the screen to which I cried, “IT..IS….HAAAARD!!!!” — hehe.

Recharge was an enjoyable change of pace to wrap up the week of workouts. Stretching for 20 minutes felt good, and I look forward to the improvements over time.

I had Chocolate Shakeology this morning with a tablespoon of peanut butter, 1/2 cup light soy milk, 2/3 cup of water, 1/2 cup ice… it was good! I miss bananas, I need to buy more. For lunch I had a sandwich with turkey, ham, salami and provolone. Dinner was Garlic shrimp scampi with penne pasta…grape tomatoes, asparagus. Not a very big portion, followed by an apple.

Contemplating Club Membership with Beachbody to create a meal plan, haven’t decided yet.
